Overview
After subscribing to TBT Club or any of our services that include TradingView tools, you'll receive access to our invite-only indicators on TradingView. These tools are authored by thebettertraders.com and will appear in your TradingView account once access has been granted.
This article walks you through how to find the tools, verify your username, and troubleshoot common access issues.
Step 1: Make Sure You Have a TradingView Account
Before we can grant you access to our tools, you need a TradingView account. If you don't have one yet, you can create a free account at tradingview.com. A free TradingView account is all you need to use our invite-only tools.
Step 2: Confirm Your TradingView Username
To grant you access, we need your exact TradingView username. This is the most important step, and the most common source of issues.
How to Find Your TradingView Username
Option A: Profile Icon (Quickest Method)
- Log in to TradingView.
- Click your profile avatar/icon in the top-right corner of the page.
- Your username is displayed at the very top of the dropdown menu.
If you are using the TradingView desktop app, click the menu icon in the top-left corner — your username is shown at the top of the sidebar menu:
Option B: Profile Settings Page
- Go directly to tradingview.com/u/#settings.
- Your username is shown in the Username field on that page.
Option C: Your Profile URL
Your TradingView profile URL follows this format:
https://www.tradingview.com/u/YOUR_USERNAME
The part after /u/ is your exact username. You can share this URL with our support team to confirm your username.
Step 3: Where to Find the TBT Tools on TradingView
Once access has been granted, follow these steps to find and use the tools:
- Open any chart on TradingView (e.g., BTCUSD, AAPL, or any symbol you like).
- Click the “Indicators” button in the top toolbar of the chart. You can also press the forward slash key (
/) on your keyboard as a shortcut.
- In the Indicators dialog that opens, look at the left sidebar and click the “Invite-only scripts” tab.
- You will see a list of tools you have been granted access to. Look for tools whose author is thebettertraders.com. Click on any tool to add it to your chart.
Troubleshooting: I Don't See the Tools
If you've subscribed but don't see our tools in the Invite-only scripts tab, work through the following checklist in order:
1. Log Out and Log Back In to TradingView
This is the most common fix. TradingView caches your session data, so even if we've already granted you access, your account may not reflect it until you start a fresh session.
- Log out of TradingView completely.
- Close your browser (or the TradingView desktop app).
- Reopen and log back in.
- Go to Indicators → Invite-only scripts and check again.
2. Verify You Submitted the Correct Username
Double-check that the username you provided during sign-up matches your actual TradingView username exactly. Common mistakes include:
-
Submitting an email address instead of a username (e.g.,
john@gmail.cominstead ofjohn_trader). - Submitting a display name instead of the actual username — these can be different on TradingView.
- Typos — even a single wrong character will prevent access from being granted.
Use the methods in Step 2 above to verify your exact username, then contact our support team if it doesn't match what you originally submitted.
3. Access May Not Have Been Granted Yet
In some cases, access is not provisioned immediately after sign-up. This can happen if:
- You didn't provide a TradingView username during the sign-up process.
- You didn't have a TradingView account at the time of sign-up.
- There was a processing delay on our end.
If you suspect this is the case, please contact our support team with your exact TradingView username (not email) so we can verify your access status and grant it if needed.
4. You Recently Changed Your TradingView Username
If you changed your TradingView username after we granted access, the access is tied to your old username and will no longer work. Please contact us with your new username so we can update your access.
How to Send Us Your Username for Verification
If you need to contact support about access issues, the easiest way to confirm your username is:
- Go to tradingview.com/u/#settings.
- Copy the username directly from the Username field (do not type it manually to avoid typos).
- Paste it into your support message or email.
Alternatively, you can share your profile URL — for example: https://www.tradingview.com/u/your_username — and we'll extract the username from there.
Need More Help?
If you've tried all the steps above and still can't access the tools, please contact our support team. Include the following in your message:
- Your exact TradingView username (copy-pasted, not typed).
- The service or subscription you signed up for.
- A brief description of what you see (or don't see) in the Invite-only scripts tab.
We'll verify your access and get you set up as quickly as possible.
